Terrified of driving over bridges
Hi, my name is Stacey and I am terrified of driving over bridges. This phobia has gotten progressively worse. I have never liked them, but up until 2 years ago was able to keep calm and do what had to be done.
The fear started over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge between the Eastern and Western shores of Maryland. I live on the Eastern shore, and travel to Baltimore quite a bit. I started going all the way around driving through Delaware, but there are 2 small bridges that way.
I was doing fine with them until today. I was travelling back to Delaware and thought I was going to faint when driving over the bridge on Route 40. I don't understand this as I am not afraid of heights. This is paralyzing me, and I don't know what to do. I am a very independent woman, except for this. I wish there was some help!
