Severe phobia of needles

i have a severe phobia of needles. never have liked them and i think it is the thought of the needle itself going into my skin or that it might be painful, but whenever i have to have needles or blood tests i freak out i will panic and cry refuse the needle and also i sometimes get very light-headed.

at the moment i am pregnant and know i need my blood taken to make sure my baby is healthy but when it came to having the blood tests done i refused and have now opted to have the anaesthetic cream on before i try and get them done again i was just wondering really if other people with a needle phobia like my self found this worked thank you samx x
