phobia having a visitor here at home
by: Anonymous

well it was starts from the very beginning when i came here in Australia,( you know i came from a third world country but i respect my country where i was born and despite i am poor, since i was seven years old i just work little as long as i have food until i finish my high school then continue my university from the aid of my sister who used to worked in Spain.) Back then we had a visitors it was a couple and we had sometimes activities outside our place or home let say we're going to picked grapes inside the country while we are eating breakfast the wife of this couple told me not to wear a nice clothes because we were just picking grapes but i wore only a blue jeans and old blouse and she insist not appropriate what i wore so it breaks my heart.number 2. she invited us to eat sea food at the restuarant by the sea near the bridge but she told me not to dress up so i said to her we are not coming because she tried to control me how i dress. third. she came with her husband to our place i think when they arrived i was at the bathroom did my business and went to our lounge room where we receive visitors and i found her sat one of the upholster chair reading and i just said hello Erica where's my husband and Gerry. She told me they were outside then she pause and looked straight to my eyes and told me,liked this" Lina, I don't need your entertain here, only this one(she was holding a book) can entertain me" I really was shocked told me inside my home. As soon my husband and her husband appeared at the door liked nothing happened she smiled so friendly again to me because she knew i will prepared now snacks for us like my home made cake and nice Italian coffee what my husband bought in town which was coffee seeds no problem with the coffee seeds my husband had a coffee grinder so i just grind it and prepare a coffee for us. After two weeks my husband ,daughter and i went to town to buy the school supplies for my child and the store were we gonna bought my daughter's stuff close to her furniture shops. We visited her for a short time just said hello to her and a little conversation and left and went to school supplies store but unfortunately i stayed outside and she saw me , she talked to me but not nice, like this;" Lina, i knew you are not happy do you have problems specially about your husband,if you have time try to see me you know Lina i will divorce my husband Gerry." I never answered her back because i was shocked what she told me.But until today as far as i know she never divorce her husband.People i know through my husband, i do not know why they are still not happy to me why i told you because they saw me in town despite i am the one to say hello to them they ignore me now i learn my lessons.

I have that phobia too and yes i do feel like I’m stuck up and ridiculous for having this, i don’t want to but i sometimes blame my dad, I’m Hispanic and like always my dad would always have to make sure we said hello to everybody. i would say hello and then my dad would some later and always say "did you say hello? Go say hello! Don’t be bad manner" i swear he would make me say hello like 4 times to the same person. i got so use to him telling me to do it i stop doing it without noticing. now if i want to say hello i get nervous and i think of it too much of it as if everybody is looking at me and waiting for me to say it! until i saw your comment i though i was the only one.
