Phobia of Pipes and Tubes

I don't know how this phobia of pipes and tubes came to be, but when i see pipes coming out of the ceiling, wall, or whatever it scares the hell out of me!

It's getting really hard to do laundry now and I have to hurry and try not to look at the pipes.
