The person in my family with this issue has the most problems with pennies as well but all coins bother him. He traces it back to his older brother pouring a full bank bag into his bed then remaking the bed so that he found them only after crawling into the bed to go to sleep

I have cuprolaminophobia!! Ever since I was born. They scare me, and gross me out! The size, the feeling of them. The color and SMELL!! I thought i was THE only person in the world with this fear. I can't touch them nickels or dimes! Quarters don't bug me as much. So PENNIES!!! aaah! I hope my fear doesn't get worse.

I have the exact same problem. I thought I was the only person in the world. Coins jewlrey and keys. As the years go on the problem gets worse. i was told that hypnosis might work. I havnt tried it yet.Its effecting me more and more every day.

Wow I have this aswell. I've had this fear of coins all my life and the way you describe it is exactly how I feel about them. I'm not sure what the name of this is, and I think it's very rare.
