I have the same issue. I've been grossed out by bones all my life, just like anyone would be, but I've only been genuinely terrified by them in the last few years. I have no idea what caused this phobia (apparently called ostiophobia) but it's gotten to the point that I can't even pick up a plastic Halloween decorations bone without feeling like I need to scrub my own skin off to remove the feeling of the bone against my hand. I can't even attempt to do something as simple as eating fried chicken because the thought of eating off of a bone makes me want to throw up.

I have exactly the same problem! My teacher (when I was 7!!) brought in a real skeleton. At one point in the lesson he detached the hand and showed it round the class. But he was an a**hole, and scared me to death with it. I couldn't stay in the room with it after that and now I can't even look at bones without wanting to puke! I wonder what the phobia's called...
