I'm Emily, I'm a teenager, and I believe I may have Monophobia. It's mostly when I have breaks from school, and I can stay up late. When my parents go to bed, I sometimes have what I think may be a "panic attack", for a fear of being alone.

There are sometimes, when I'm not at home, staying at someone's house, when I'm laying in bed, trying to go to sleep and I feel nauseous and sometimes I even start trembling.

And even if there's someone next to me, I think it's the fear of being alone. That they go to sleep and I'm forced to lie there because I'm not tired.

When I'm at home, and I can't sleep, and I'm in the living room or my bedroom, I have a small fear that someone is going to break into our house, and often check if the doors are locked 2 or 3 times. I know they're locked, but I still have that fear. And that really doesn't help my "monophobia".

I haven't seeked any help, because I never thought it was a real problem, but now that I've read about Monophobia, it may be a good idea.
