Fear of very high and wide enclosed spaces
I have a really bad phobia that stops me from going outside at night but lets me go out at day.
I used to think I was just terrified of the night sky but then I realised I had the same fears in some airports and shopping malls.
I only recently figured out that my phobia is very high enclosed spaces, and the closer I get to the top the worse it is.
That's why I can't go outside at night, because the black sky creates for me the illusion of a roof. If the roof is reflected, that only makes it worse.
I've searched all over the internet for the name of this phobia and other people who I share it with, but all I get is Claustrophobia or a fear of open spaces which are both completely wrong.
Can anyone help me with this? It's a fear of very high and wide enclosed spaces.
