Fear of the dark

my name is aaron, im 15, a freshman in highschool, and ever since i could remember ive had the biggest fear of the dark, mostley being alone in the dark... i have trouble sleepin at night because my window in my room is blocked off, and my room becomes pitch dark around 11:00pm, which is usually when i try to go to sleep..., i leave my tv on so that i have a light. i try to fall asleep before my tv shuts off. in other cases, i will be outside doing something in the dark, and i will be com paralyzed with fear. this phobia has made my life difficult with sleeping. sometimes i will be awaken for no reason in the middle of the dark, and i cannot fall back asleep because i am so paralyzed with fear...
