Reasonable!
by: Anonymous

That sounds like a really reasonable phobia. maybe you could try exposure therapy (do some research) i.e. get close friends to come up from behind you and touch your face, and gradually allow them to hold your nose while you breathe out of your mouth and allow them to hold your mouth while you breathe out of your nose so that it removes some of the fear and your brain begins to understand that face touching doesn't put you in danger. hope this helps! good luck :)

You're not alone in this...

I used to be haphephobic (afraid of being physically touched), and it's practically gone now, actually I invite physical touch now that I have a boyfriend, but for some reason having my face touched gives me chills still. The same goes for my neck and even my shoulders sometimes because they're near my face. I let people touch me there anyways because I'm trying to get over it and I don't know what else to do, I'm embarrassed to tell anyone else.
