fear of mice

i saw a mouse in my house on saturday night and borrowed my neighbours cat since !! i am asolutely petrified of mice and am resteless in my house since then at night time i just burst into tears imagining its going to run out from somewhere !! i v searched the net to see if cats deter mice from coming in ie their scent will frighten mice and a lot of blogs say no !! i just dont know what to do i havent seen it since saat night but i cant help living in fear of mice in my flat ! can anybody help me on this im very stressed and upset ;(
