Fear of Medicines

Hi,
I have built up a fear of medicines because not only am I an anxiety type of person but I am disabled too. I have received many different kinds of medication only to having a reaction to the chemicals used. Is this unusual? Now I fear all medications. Consequently doctors are loathe to treat me.
