The fear affect on life is more varied than you can ever dare to understand. It cripples your life and yet it also protects you from danger.
You have two kinds of fear. One may apparently seem perfectly baseless like fearing spiders or open spaces or fearing defeat and then you have the logical fears like fear of secluded parking lots, which are the welcome kind as they guard you against dangers.
Nonetheless, fear is an overwhelming emotion and the fear affect on life is just as pervasive.
You fear heights. At most you will miss out on the breathtaking scenery that is afforded by a steep hiking trail. You fear strangers. You will probably miss the opportunity of meeting some witty, intelligent, loving human beings. Nothing more!
You fear failure and you will miss out on life altogether. Fear of losing, abstains you from taking chances and who does not know, “No risk, no gain”.
Nothing has been ever achieved by the timid individual who could not muster the spunk to follow his instincts. The fear affect on life stemming from this reason is stagnation.
More often than not, fearful are the people who do not have a real sense of self worth. These are the people for whom the grass is always greener on the other side. Their pretense: a materialistic lifestyle and empty boasts.
They are perennially in a race to keep up with the Joneses. With this competition, comes conflicts and then, fear.
Insecurities also lead to fear. Have you ever stood up against a bully? Do so. All those muscle flexings, the threats and the mean looks will disappear in an instant and you will find him cowering in fear.
The fear affect on life is that he has cultivated a macho, devil-may-dare attitude to hide his weaknesses.
Such fears are indeed devastating as they hinder progress. Not only that, the fear affect on life wroughts bodily discomforts too.
Fear shoots up your stress levels leading to palpitation, high blood pressure, color blindness and disorientation. Moreover, you must be familiar with fear clouding your reasoning faculties and leading to irrational acts.
Aren’t these reasons enough to banish the fear affect on life? That will not prove to be a Herculean task. There are self-healing techniques, which will do the trick. Convince yourself that you can.
What others think of you doesn’t matter. After all, a confident, focused man has better things to do than trying to live up to others’ expectations.
This way you will not be bogged down by insecurities and a sense of inadequacy. Open your mind to the world. Realize that there are two sides to every coin.
This way you will not need to prove yourself everytime.
