I actually looked at this because i want to visit Australia, but fear snakes so much I don't know if I can do it. I have been this way my whole life. When my family went to Ireland everyone was surprised how free I was walking through the woods and grass. Without having to think about snakes, I was completely relaxed anywhere we went!

I have a snake phobia too, though i don't mind seeing pictures or videos, but just with the fact of thinking about it, i get paranoic. I never seen one myself in real life, and im thankful for that, but when i was little, i used to sleep in a fetus position because i was afraid that i snake would sneak out from under my bed and pull my legs or something, i still do that sometimes!

My mom told me the other day that she saw on the news that some girl found one on her wardrobe, that was like a month ago and i don't open my wardrobe without thinking about it, sometimes i just rather wear something i have outside, i've spent days without going to the bathroom at all, because i dreamt i saw one in it, i become anxious when i see rats because snakes eat them and i think they might be close...its so irrational and people really understand what we feel, it's something that unfortunately we cannot control, and my fear is not because they might kill me or somethings, it's just so hard to explain...

I have exactly the same! Just while reading your article, I got guss bumps all over my body. I have heard that hypno therapy should help. I havent tried it yet, but im looking into it. If have any idea how to get rid of it, please let me know.
