May be you were just a spectator during the event but the real life shock you got from the incident caused pathetic bus phobia.

Fear of bus or travel phobia tends to make you extra cautious on road. For instance, if you have to travel by bus you will definitely find it quite difficult to compromise with the traveling option, for here you have no other alternative other than being just a passenger.

As you step into the bus against your will and the wheels start rolling, you start taking keen notice of everything happening around, so as to save yourself from all possible chances of an accident. By the time you reach your destination, you are aggravated, tensed and worn out.

In most cases, people suffering from bus phobia avoid traveling. It takes long hours of persuasion and convincing to motivate the victim step out of the house. Now, this is bad as it prevents you to face circumstances in life. Non-exposure to situations diminishes chances of phobia cure.

Some of the common symptoms of travel phobia include palpitation, shakiness, problem in breathing and an eagerness to lose mental stability. The outcome is often an act of insanity or psychosis.

When you are anxious or afraid there is a strong interlinking of mind and body. When you sense danger you tend to lose control and this in turn causes harmful physiological symptoms.

It also generates a wide range of adrenalin stimulated physical symptoms giving form to what is known as “the vicious cycle of anxiety and panic”.

What is most funny about bus phobia is that it makes you feel apprehensive only when you are traveling by bus or planning to do the same. The fear is not there when you are in other transport types.
