Hi..I'm a 13 year old girl suffering from Brontophobia, the fear of thunder. Anytime there is a thunderstorm I start to have a panic attack. Just thinking about the sound of it gets me nervous.

However, I am not scared of lightening. Sometimes if there is a big flash of lightening I get nervous because I know there will be a loud boom of thunder. During a thunderstorm I have to cover my face so I can't see the lightening and blast music really loud so can't hear the thunder.

In order for me to not have a panic attack I need to have someone right beside me holding me. And that's why I get so embarrassed in public during a thunderstorm.
