I believe I have a mild case of Abluthophobia. I've been this way ever since I was a child, I am now 23 years old. I don't know why I am like this, but I wish it was something I could fix.

I can't get inside of a shower or bath tub unless it appears to be 100% spotless. If I'm in a home or environment that is old, rusty, or has lots of clutter and dust, I can't take a shower or a bath. My main thing is having to place my feet on a bath or shower surface that may be unclean . Or stepping on an unclean surface after leaving the shower (dusty, residue, hair particles, etc).

In order to keep myself clean, I wash off next to a sink more often than ever. It may not be the best solution, but it's the only way I can seem to get it done without freaking out.

The source of my fear comes from what lies under my feet. I have the same issue with a car during raining seasons; where I can't put my feet/shoes down on the floor after being outside. It has actually crippled my driving and has cased quite a few problems.
